Topic: I need help to dye ABS & HDPE molded parts with MEK

I need your kind help and support in the following matter.

I am trying to dip dying the ABS and HDPE plastic molded parts using MEK  with

normal dry plastic pigments/colors at normal temperature.

I am unable to get equal very fine liquid layering on plastic due to the following.

1- MEK instantly went thick during its use. What solvent to mix to keep it like water/liquid.

2- Colors i am using are also not very stable. Please guide which color to use.

Please advise if I am using the correct method for dip dying with some mismatch or there

is another method for dip dying the above material.

I need black to red like the following by dip dying as the material is ABS AND HDPE

Where do you even buy MEK? It's banned in the US and near impossible to buy without a license.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
