Topic: Da Vinci colour main board.

Probably a long shot, but would anyone have any idea how to reset the firmware on this type of board.
No sd card in this one, only a small switch with J2 on it.

J2 will probably erase the firmware if you press it while powered. Typically there is no way to reset firmware on any printer without flashing a fresh factory copy to the machine.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

I figured as much, I tried J2, then powered up, nothing happens, printer won’t boot up, If I power up printer first
Then switch J2, the printer operates as normal, I’ll keep digging.

Ah,ok thanks for that, so I’ll short that switch in conjunction with J2.

No luck so far, with sw1, when shorted another led light comes on next to the switch but no reboot, not sure if I need to disconnect hot end ribbon cable as well.
Perhaps the j2 is used in the process.

It probably has no firmware in it, only a boot loader. So no matter what buttons you push it is not going to boot. You need to load firmware in it through JTAG using the correct programmer for the boards processor.
