Topic: PETG did not stick to bed

I am using PETG and it let loose from the bed I have had it pull chuncks out of the glass where their was not glue
But it has never let loose. I am printing with glass and glue stick. bed temp  80°c using a .8 printcore. nozzle temp  240°c
printing at .24 layer thickness 2 shells
the part is aboyt 4" in diameter so it had a lot od area on the bed.

Thanks

Use hairspray. Aquanet is cheap and one application is good for several prints. Also make sure the first layer is not as squished as you would for PLA or ABS. Instead of half of your desired layer thickness you want the squish to only be about a third.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Re: PETG did not stick to bed

You want the Aqua Net in the purple can.. "Extra Super Hold" variety.. have been using this stuff for years..

Light mist coats - 2-3 - spray on one, let set up with bed at 60C, spray next... do not pile it on.

Protect the moving parts & hotend with something.. drape rags over, block with cardboard, etc. If you have a removable bed.. take it out to spray.
