Topic: Solidoodle 3 Motherboard to Hot End Wire

Does anyone know the name of the red wire assembly that runs from the motherboard to the hot end connector? I have one that shorted out and I need to replace it.

Re: Solidoodle 3 Motherboard to Hot End Wire

that would be for the heater cartridge and you are not going to get one made exactly like that because that was Solidoodle specific, and they no longer exist.

so, buy an appropriate heater cartridge, and either run the new wires to the motherboard, or make a new connection at the Extruder.

XT30 RC battery connectors make a real good option. They are perfectly sized, and are intended for high electrical currents. That does, however, mean that you will need to be able to make good solder connections
