Topic: 1.0a Nozzle heater

On my Da Vinci 1.0a the nozzle heater died so I replaced it with a generic 1 from my prussa knockoff but it seems not to get to temp sometimes when printing ABS. Is their nozzle heater different to the rest? Any tips re replacement?

Re: 1.0a Nozzle heater

The stock heater is 12V 35 Watts; I run an Amazon purchased China produced one and have sustained 260 Celsius on a V6 clone with a silicone sock.

One trick I do with my hotend is to coat the heater with a thin coating of Arctic Silver 5 or Grizzly Kryonaut thermal compound for the most efficient heat transfer before inserting into the heater block.
