Make sure the machine is properly calibrated first. I see blobs which indicate overextrusion. You also cant use ABS well without an enclosed printer or printer in enclosure. Ambient temp must be warm and stable around print.

228 is probably a bit low temp wise, especially on an E3D... I run 235-240 on my E3Ds for most ABS filaments.
Bed temp is also a bit low.. 90-110C is typical

Have you updated the firmware with the correct thermistor profile for the E3D? it should be set to table 5 for accurate temp readings.

Have you properly calibrated your E steps? If you ask it to feed 100mms in, does it feed EXACTLY 100mms?
