Topic: Using Repetier as a CNC program

Need a little help.  I am converting my 3D printer into a Engraving machine (CNC) and Repetier won't send to printer until there is a temperature value for the extruder and bed.  Which I want to disconnect.  I used the CNC setting in Repetier and still makes no difference.  Is there a setting I can change so that the temps are not required to print?  or is there a better program to use for a CNC 3D printer machine?

Re: Using Repetier as a CNC program

Just remove the bed and extruder in the machine settings and make sure any temps are set to zero.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Thanks, I had the temps set to zero already, but I can't find any menu item where I can remove the extruder and bed in Repetier v2.1.6

Re: Using Repetier as a CNC program

you would have to make changes to the firmware to completely eliminate the temp issue.
Just plug a thermistor into the board - it will be happy. it does not actually need to be run anywhere, just plug it in

I was hoping for an easy way, but I will do that.  Thank you!
