Greetings,
After a few months of research, I ordered a 3D printer kit.
Todd
what kit there are many good ones out there and some not worth the cost of shipping and a bunch in between
I bought the Flsun New style cube. I realize it might be a bust buy, but I wanted a cube design and the Trony has no English support page.
Flsun has a Facebook page that has somewhat of a factory person on it.
I started looking at the Prusa and Anet systems.
I didn't like the frame.

I know it it is a bit late but imho one of these likely would be a better choice for a first printer

That said if that is what you ordered we will do our best to support your effort to assemble it and get it going.
There are lots of choices all we can do is pick the one that seems best to us.
And even the question is often asked "What is the best first printer to buy? we always do our best to guide folk even though there is no one blanket answer.
2018 new Flsun cube? It's almost pre-assambled kits, should take about 10-20 minutes assemble time. Filament senor included! Looks good on specs, let us know how it works.

this kit looks like it takes hours to assemble rather than minutes hmmm
Those are some long sections of frame for 2020. I would be worried about sagging myself.
One guy doing a review said it took him about 10 hours to assemble.
That's old kit, new syle kits are 90% preassambled.

Where did he say he bought it from Aliexpress and where did he say what version his was? You really assume a lot most of time and should wait for answers before just posting. Being from the US and doing research as he claims he most likely bought from a US dealer who may not have the new style kit yet but has the one that Tin posted since that one is from one of the bigger US distros. Again until he fills in the blanks this is all assumption and speculation.
I got my D7 from the same company and asked them to wait to ship so I could get the newer model they would have in stock in two weeks instead of the current but older model they had in stock.
I have only bought one item from Aliexpress and that was a 6 liter carbon fiber 4500 PSI tank for my PCP air rifle to be refilled from in the field. What I found with that is unless you specify you will not receive the DOT certified model but the UK certified model even in the US. This means I can't get it hydro tested in 5 years but thankfully I have my own compressor so that won't be an issue. Same for electronics though. They may not be UL approved but only CE approved.
That is one of the issues with Chinese printers and kits there are so many variations that one can easily get confused as to what one is really purchasing.
Carl is correct until the OP post a link to one he purchased we are only guessing/speculating.
This issue is part of the reason it is sometimes difficult to get true honest reviews as the manufacturer is often changing parts on a run by run basis.

This is the one I purchased. My price was $280 US.
I would have posted the link originally but I thought I read the forum rules and I can't post a link until I have ten posts.
I try not to post useless statements on forums.
I was going to purchase from a US dealer but nobody carries this.
Thanks for all the input. I value your experiences.
As I said earlier in this feed, it could be a bust buy.

I didn't find this forum until after I made my purchase.
I do like the 24 volt.

Did I understand "Flsun New style cube" incorrectly in post 3?
I always get item replaced for free if they send me wrong item/model, and I don't have to send the wrong item back. Again, check seller reputation on aliexpress before place order.
There are options for color/size/length/model etc. but it is always called Color selection on ios version of aliexpress and web version. I always click the color selection to check for all the color/size/length/model options on ios version, otherwise your order will be placed with default option.
I didn't find this forum until after I made my purchase.
Understood My first printer is /was a solidoodle 4 i did the same thing made the purchase then joined here.
And wow just wow as the link Mr He posted then you re posted is not a whole lot alike, the link I found and posted. .
The pillars are moved inboard the control box is completely removed from the printer and they no longer have a touch screen on it to name just a few.
That being said the separate control box has a real advantage should you want to enclose the printer. in the future. as electronics and especially power supplies do not like heat.
I personalty purchase from US sellers to mitigate any risk. Although I have heard horror stories about that.
So you paid your money taking your chances. I hope this kit works out for you . And like i mentioned we are here to help as much as we can.

I used my credit card, if I don’t get what the vendor describes then they don’t payment and I don’t get charged.
I have less risk than a Craigslist Cash sale or an eBay Deal that uses PayPal.

What part of Minnesota?
Pigs Eye.... and yourself?
Grand Rapids
Nice town, we spent a week on a lake up by there. I don't remember the name of the lake, but I do remember the book I read. "Kimini"
