Topic: (Ab)using CAD
I found a useful tutorial on how to start in FreeCAD.
So I built an object that I would like to print.
The design seems solid enough, I am wondering what I am missing.
Its a block that is 40 x 23 x 10 mm in size, on one surface of the 40 long face, there is a M2.5 hole that is centred on that surface ready for tapping with a thread for an M3 bolt.
On the opposing surface of 40mm there are two holes, 10mm apart (from their centres) and centred on that surface
The attached PDF's show the block as 1.pdf = the underside and 2.pdf = the gantry side.
I exported the file as an STL file, imported it in to the slicer and it looked just fine, sliced it, tried printing it and then the printer kept on just going in squares and not extruding hardly anything, very strange.
Any reason for this to happen? Did I miss a step somewhere?
This is FreeCAD 0.16 and I chose it as its available on windows which is useful.
I laughed that hard, I burst my colostomy bag.... (When I got my GeeeTech Pi3 ProB)
