Topic: bed stiffeners for My Makerbot aluminum or steel

Carl had mentioned bed stiffeners a while back  and I am trying to decide weather to get aluminum or steel.
which is better.

The ones I used are aluminum. I have had no issues with them. With the forces you are going to encounter I would say steel is overkill.
