Topic: Davinci 2.0 Duo replacement stepper motor

Hey guys,

Complete n00b when it comes to 3D printers, but I'm learning.

I got my hands on a Davinci 2.0 Duo printer that was headed to the dump because it wasn't working.
In doing a quick diagnosis, the stepper motor for the Z-Axis isn't spinning. I've removed it, and it's pictured below:

The spec sheet for it is here: http://www.nmbtc.com/content/pdfs/17PM-K.pdf

Finding a 17PM-K142B online is difficult... but in reading other posts it sounds like the firmware doesn't restrict hardware.

What are some replacement stepper motors that will just plug in, and work as the old one?
Do I just need to match current, and resistance, or is the main concern the physical size, and the pin configuration?

Any help appreciated, and thanks in advance smile

Re: Davinci 2.0 Duo replacement stepper motor

Make sure it is actually the motor and not bad wiring or driver . a bad driver may require a ramps retrofit.

a quick search IMHO  this one should be compatible. the guys from prinit can verify.
