Topic: Da vinci JR stops printing mid-print

Hello,

I'm having an issue with my Da vinci JR where the printer stops extruding filament mid-print. I cleaned the drive gear and nozzle head several times and tried several retraction settings but nothing seems to work. As a test print I tried to print the benchy boat. With 0.3 layerheight, this model printed without any issues, but when I try 0.2/0.1 layer height the printer stops extruding filament after around 20% print time. This issue also happens with other models and seems to happen more often when the model is small and detailed. Whenever there isn't anymore filament coming out of the nozzle, I can hear the extruder clicking.

Can anyone help me with this issue? I'm already thinking about upgrading the extruder but I'm not sure if this will solve my issue?

Sounds like a clog in the nozzle . ir could be a temp drop casing this a new exruder would likely solve the problem.
