Topic: What are 3D filament spools made out of ?

I have quite a few of those left over that I am using to spool "new" filament made with the Filastruder/Filawinder.

However, I was wondering what material they are made of since maybe I could shred some extra (if I do not use them for Christmas lights storage) to make more filament.

HIPS ? ABS ? I could find no recycling marks...

Based on the smell when you burn one it is most likely ABS.

We are the manufacturer of 3d filament. The material of spool is ABS or Hips.
