Topic: Creating Large Scale Models With limited Space?

I remember a long time ago there was a "shoe string" program that took image files and let you draw vertical and horizonal lines across it and the program would save many images for all compartments created from the intersections. This way it could save time when loading larger images in webpages.

I was wondering if there was any software that lets you increase the scale of a 3D model well beyond the size of the print bed and evenly divides it into block section with pegs and holes in their sides (potentially to superglue the pieces together after) that do fit into the print space? I would love to basically print a giant 3D puzzle. smile
