Topic: Press Extruder FAN 12v??

I know the Press is 24v but why and how is the fan on the extruder 12v? I ask because i'm ordering a e3d kit mainly because I need the 24v components since I already have 12v parts that aren't supposed to work?

Re: Press Extruder FAN 12v??

The controller could have a regulator that drops the 24 to 12 for the fan.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Re: Press Extruder FAN 12v??

Hi, The fan is 12v. I`m not sure if the 24v fan would do the job, since this would cause it to spinn to slow du to the low voltage.
I bought the e3D-12v version so i used this fan instead.
