Topic: SainSmart Aluminum PLA

Picked up a 0.5kg roll off Amazon to use for my ALCOA print. A lot of the comments mentioned having issues getting to print with standard PLA settings, but most got it to run well at 215C. Some customers complained about not getting it to stick at all, or building up around the nozzle.

My experience so far has been excellent. Printed a set of Marvins at my standard PLA settings(200C) and they looked great. I started another set but heard the extruder clicking, bumped up the temp to 210C and everything went down smooth after that.

Printed parts 'feel' lighter, but I haven't tried to weigh for any actual differences. Surface has dull aluminum feel to it, same kind of feeling if you ever felt surface of an aluminum extrusion.
