Yeah, PVA is expensive and really sensitive to moisture. It shows promise, though!

I've heard that PVA is difficult because ABS doesn't stick to it very well.  They've had dual printing Makerbots and PVA for sale for a long time and it never really took off.  Maybe the HIPS will be better.

HIPS is the way to go for dissolvable support... more practicale than PVA

HIPS prints nicely on the SD2.
