Where do I find the specifics on this. How thin, layer heights, etc?

Meshmixer will allow you to create supports that you can control placement of as well as size etc...

Thanks, I'll take a look. I've made supports in the past but had probs getting them to release cleanly. Cura doesn't always put them where/how I want them to go.
