Topic: Corner curling/lifting (Da Vinci Jr)
So it seems this is really my only problem at the moment. My prints seem to come out ok, but i'm fighting lifting of the corners on a part with a flat rectangular shaped bottom. Up until yesterday I was using blue painters tape with a glue stick as my bed surface. This seemed to create really good adhesion of the PLA to the tape, but the corners would end up lifting up and pulling the tape off the bed. I ordered a single sheet of BuildTak, re-calibrated my Z-Offset, and printed one last night. The part printed fine, but again, the corners lifted up slightly, although not quite as bad. In the attached pic, you can see the corner on the left stayed down, but the one on the right curled up.
Has anyone found a method to prevent this with the Jr without printing brims or rafts? The part i'm trying to print now is too big to print a brim using Xyzware, so I will likely have to build ears or something into the model to try to hold the corners down. Should I just accept this as normal and use brims/rafts/custom modeling as the solution?
