Topic: Atlas3D connection first time

Hi  Dimme the Dunce here.  I have taken to consuming my own hair over this.

Built an A3d in lucite.  Red LED powers on, flashing net led  works.  4 Port Router shows a connection. En0 has ip 192.168.1.151:

en0: flags=8963<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,PROMISC,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
    options=2b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_HWTAGGING,TSO4>
    ether 00:17:f2:09:e1:0a
    inet6 fe80::217:f2ff:fe09:e10a%en0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x4
    inet 192.168.1.151 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
    media: autoselect (1000baseT <full-duplex,flow-control>)
    status: active
---------------------------------

http to ip 192.168.1.184 gives

Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.184.

    The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
    If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
    If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have the MicroSD that was provided and I have yet to see the screen interface by typing http://<ip address> or http://Atlas3d/

Have waited a L O N G time for this and now Im just getting a rash.  Please suggest if you can.

Re: Atlas3D connection first time

Why are you looking to connect to xxx.xxx.xxx.184? Why not xxx.xxx.xxx.151, presumably the IP of your Pi?

Re: Atlas3D connection first time

If you're using the ATLAS 3D SD card/image then your Ethernet interface should be eth0, not en0.  You can determine the IP address a number of different ways.

First attach the Raspberry Pi to your router (or switch) via Ethernet, then either...

1. Look for the IP in the web setup software for your router.
2. If on Linux or Mac, run the command below to search for atlas3d on your network.

nmap -p 80 192.168.1.*

3. Attach a keyboard and mouse and run the command below to display the network interfaces.
For Linux and Mac

ifconfig

For Windows

ipconfig

Once you have determined the IP address, type it into your web browser.  The WiFi can be now be configured manually, or if you update to the latest version of the software (with ATLAS 3D's auto-update feature) you can configure WiFi from the ATLAS 3D software.

Re: Atlas3D connection first time

I was able to invoke Freelss from a keyboard and monitor but it abounded because i could not establish a camera session.  I'll open and check wiring

The Scanner is attached to a switch that is part of a  large university network.  The MAC I am using PC too if needed) Gets a DHCP IP of 155.41.199.146.

Safari can't connect to server

Because its getting its IP from the BIG network I haven't been able to grab an ip from the scanner.
