Topic: Newb question, Color of objects to be scanned.

SO i have been looking at different scans of objects in general and it seems that light/dark Pastel style colors seem to have a sharper scan detail than really dark and really bright colors (that are not pastel).  I just wanted to here from the community if there was any truth to this or direct me to any articles on this, or if theirs a post on this already?

thank you

Re: Newb question, Color of objects to be scanned.

So after some lame-duck research (googled it) i found this

http://www.academia.edu/2458780/Influen … D_Scanning

here they show how a "red laser" scan is affected by the difference in colors, they get into a lot of numbers that I don't understand right now but after a few months I'm confident I'll figure it out.

Hopefully this will be helpful to people scanning with red lasers.
