Printer issues

Im just curious if anyone has used a makerbot or cubify that could tell me what the issues are that they have with them. I know with the dremel the issue I have is the extruder is molded plastic so it'd be hard to upgrade and the printing software is for a 3rd grader. I'm just curious about other printers so I can kinda get a comparison to a solidoodle.
