Topic: Problems with top and bottom + ovality

Hi

I just got a Solidoodle printer an made my first print yesterday. I use Pronterface and Skeinforge.

I ran into a few problems i hope you can help me with.

- The top and bottom becomes like a mesh/filter. How can i get the top or bottom more solid?

- The part gets very oval, especilly the hole in the middle. Is it possible to change anything here?

- The raft sticks to the componen and I can't get it off.

I have attached two photos that shows my problem.

Re: Problems with top and bottom + ovality

you can turn off the raft in skeinforge settings before you slice.  Oval holes means you need to do some adjustments to y axis. Search the site, there are some videos from Solidoodle that explain it.

Thank you.

Then I only need to figure out how to make the top an bottom more solid and not like a mesh with holes.

Looks like your feed/flow rate might be a little low. I am not quite sure what to adjust in Skeinforge to fix that.  I think Skeinforge 39 and Skeinforge 50 have it in different locations.  Raising it should help fill in those gaps on the top layers.
