i can't find where to enable Skirt in skinforge 4.2 (the last version on solidoodle website.

The version of Skeinforge Solidoodle puts in the zip file is 39, which doesn't have skirt. The later versions have it, and you can get them by downloading Replicator G, and hunting around in the Replicator G folder for the Skeinforge folders. Or you could use Slic3r which does have skirt.
