Topic: Press won't even power on

I received my Press last week, but when I got home and plug it in...nothing happens. There is no response at all when I press the power button. The LED on the power supply is lit, so it appears that the power supply is functional, but other than that there is no sign of life. I've opened up the motherboard and switch panels to check the connections, but as far as I can tell everything is connected as it should be. The filament was threaded in the extruder and there was a test print in the box, so it looks like they tested it in the factory, indicating it was at least working when it left.

I've sent in a support request to Solidoodle, but so far, no response.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what the problem may be, or is there something obvious that I might be missing?

did you just press the button or did you hold it down for a couple seconds ?
I've had the same problem and I suspected the power outlet since I'm connecting it to an EU outlet. Then I tried holding the power button down for 2-3 seconds and the Press turned on.

I've done both. Pressed the button momentarily, pressed it for 5, 10, 30 seconds...nothing.

Return it for a full refund if at all possible is my recommendation. Look at this forum and you see nothing but design, build quality and software issues. Not worth trying to fix unless it's going to cost you more in postage to send back then the printer costs as is my case.
