Topic: another Glow in the dark filament question

I havn't done anything with the glow in the dark filament.
To get the best glow do I need to make the piece I am printing almost solid.

Re: another Glow in the dark filament question

It depends how translucent the plastic the glow powder is mixed in is. It would look best mixed with a transparent ABS plastic (like this one http://store.afinia.com/ABS-175-mm-Fila … _p_39.html ).
Even glow powder seller say it depends on the paint or other medium it is mixed with.
Only way to find out, unless the manufacturer has this data already, is to print few simple walls with different thicknesses, and see at what point nothing (and by that I mean another printed glowing wall for example) at the back of the wall is visible enough. At that point adding more thickness will be pointless as any plastic and powder in front of it will block its glow anyway.
