Topic: Spool Material

I just received a spool of SainSmart filament from Amazon and found that the spool is made of cardboard. My setup has the spool riding on the rim so this does not work well.

I have bought from FilamentOutlet.com and these had plastic spools that work well.

What other brands of filament have plastic spools?

Octave and Taulman both come on plastic spools.

even the $15 per kilo inland brand from microcenter has plastic spools. 
Colorfab has plastic spools.

I have recently ordered from Push Plastic which ships on plastic spools and am very happy with the material so far.  Plus they have some cool colors in PLA you don't see often.

If you build it they will come. Then they will make fun of it, tell you it's not worth doing and go home and try to copy you.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then being there is worth a thousand pictures.

(2) Stock Makerbot Z18s, Filastruder w/Melt Filter, Filawinder, Autodesk Inventor Design Suite 2014 .........so far.
