Topic: My first great print with the Press

This is my first great print with the Press and I want to show it off.  Its on Thingiverse, search for Skyblue if any interest in printing it.

Got my Press dialed in now and on my way.

How did you make the birds different colors?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Prints in pieces, birds are separate from frame.

SD2 - Glass Bed, Fans on PCB and Y motor, Custom enclosure

Yes, just treat each "glass" piece as a separate model, which it is, and change your filament to change color for each bird.  I printed frame in brown, birds as shown. 
Note:  If you choose honeycomb infill about 20% for "glass", you will see that pattern inside the "glass".
I setup a profile in Slic3r named glass, and saved.
1 top, 1 bottom, 20% honeycomb infill.  "Glass" pieces are set to print at 4 layers, 1 top 1 bottom and 2 infill layers.
I usually print the "glass" pieces slower than normal to ensure good adhesion...and remember, the frame prints upright, the "glass" pieces print upside down.  You are to flip the pieces over to insert into the frame.  Printed in ABS.
