Topic: Success with the Planetary Gears!

I have just had my da vinci 1.0 since Christmas, but I am surprised with the results on stock filament and software.  The circles were round with good detail so I tried the planetary gears on thingiverse (thing:23030) at 150% scale and works very smooth!

I am sure I will mod everything in the future, but I am extremely impressed so far!!

What settings did u use, resolution,  density, support and speed?  I tried it and found that i needed to do a lot of clean up. My assembly failed thanks.

Re: Success with the Planetary Gears!

I used a layer height of .1, density of 50%, shells normal and speed slow.  No supports.

It took about 10 hours to print and does need some cleanup with needle files.  Putting some silicone grease on the gears helped smooth up the movement.
