Topic: Aluminium foil tape

Anyone know if this any good to use on a heated bed instead of kapton tape ?
It seems a lot cheaper but I suspect it won't take the high temps needed for ABS.

I'm not sure. Depends more on how well the adhesive takes the heat. If it's the kind of tape that is used for fixing mufflers and such, it might be just fine since a muffler would get that hot.

If you where using PLA, then it might work as my old printer had an aluminum bed and PLA stuck well to it when hot. I doubt ABS will stick to it though without treatment. Also Kapton is very cheap if you buy it on ebay. I bought 10 rolls for 30 bucks.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
