Topic: DA Vinci 2.0 extruder heads different heights
Hello everyone, I am new to 3d printing and new to the forum but am a machinist and have always followed 3d printing. Here's my issue, I have about 60hrs worth of printing on my 2.0 and have loved it but I have started realizing its limitations in terms of the not so adjustable software and the filament issue. I have gone and printed the bearing supports and installed them and went through all the belts and tightened them to get the circles somewhat good and have calibrated my table many times and have settled on the manual method which I know is perfectly level I have also installed a buildtak sheet which I really like. but I have noticed when I print with head 2 today it prints the first layer and the part is a little jet from thingiverse for my son and its big enough where head one goes over the printed surface while head 2 is printing. which its supposed to obviously but the problem is head 1 is colliding with the printed layer and pushing the bed down while head 2 is printing . this causes some weird prints and affects adhesion on the first layer. I then cancelled the print and re-checked my bed to make sure it was still level on all corners and it was but then I took a closer look and saw that head 1 sits lower than head 2 by about .1-.15 maybe .2mm??? my thought is since head 2 is sitting higher that would make the layers thicker than they should be and head1 has no way to avoid the printed material. my question is how can I fix this issue?? also how do I remove the extruders on the da vinci 2.0 so I can try and alter the heights?? is there a fix for this at all? I am looking to get this fixed asap as my xyzerocart will be here tomorrow and my bridge nylon will also be here to play with but don't want to waste material because of this. any help would be great thanks.
