Topic: Da Vinci Aio

Hi,

I bough a Da vinci Aio (the shipment should arrive in a few days as it's 'shipped'). Anyone bough one? I'll like to know what firmware does come or if anyone knows how much 'hack-able' it is, specially if the repetier firmware can be installed or if the SD card it's still there.

Hi, I don't own one but I am also interested on it because of the scanner. I would say that I have read/heard that the scanner and/or scanning software aren't great sad but I would think that I must test it myself to check it out.
Where did you get it from?

The Repetier Firmware will work, however the scanner would not be supported by the firmware. If you changed firmware you would simply have a printer that is open source and does not require their cartridges. The board in all of their new printers are all the same now. All they do is remove components from the board for features not included in that model.

The xyzsoft says it's 1.1.1 (1B1)

Got mine 2weeks ago.

It says its running firmware 1.1.1 so I think this is fine.
