Topic: Affordable 3D Metal Printing - WELD3D

http://www.weld3d.com/

This is low cost 3D metal printing that will result in near net shape parts.  The target market is makers and enthusiast.

Thought this group may find a use for this product.

FYI: I am part of this Weld3D team, but have followed SD for many years.  My first printer was an SD3.

Currently the only consumables are welding wire (~$40 per 10 lb roll) and inert gas (~$50 a tank and can last 2-3 rolls).  Of course this depends on the local welding shop/online source.  The cost is around 2-5 times the cost of plastic parts.
