Re: last print...

These are really impressive. How much time have you spent dialing in your printer? I'm still waiting to get mine and would love to someday get results that are this good.

Re: last print...

thanks..

as it's a firts batch S2..
i change the firmware (thanks to Lawsy)
the Z screw (free .. thanks to solidoodle),
i add the anti-wobble-nut preloader(with a big O-ring instead of a Spring, thanks to matt_johnson)
a glass bed with kapton (i don't like the hairspray)

i do a simple leveling bed procedure and a extruder calibration (thanks to Ian Johnson )

and a lot of time... (tie interceptor at 0.1mm anyone ?  between 11 and 12 hours... i love to print when i sleep)..

but the S2 can do a lot of pretty good print just out of the box..

now i like to print between 0.18mm and 0.3mm... 0.1mm it's just too much time for not a big win ( i love 0.2mm with acetone bath) ... and 0.3mm is good for a lot of thing without a lot of little details..

Re: last print...

How did you get the dual colors on the rocket?

Looking good!  I like the scenery under revenge of the tomb.  What did you use to design that?

the female was builded in hexagon2.5 and carrara 8 from a free base and cleaned with meshlabs/netffab/meshmixer (see my other post : don't call her honey, if you want to print her)

the floor come from a Poser object and i just change the scale  and do a bit of cleaning to change it to a print-able object.. (source : http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/dms-elven-rock/83038 ) then add the two pieces...
i do a lot of digital heroic fantasy drawing and this printer change my little corner of dream into a more physical world...

like this draft..

Re: last print...

Hey! a Hex/Carrara user!  Nice to see that!  Also VERY nice prints.  I need to get cracking as I seem to have fallen behind the curves on prints.  Once I get the lead screw replaced it will be a small matter to try printing more again.  Of course the matter of material will be hitting me.  I guess it'll be the new year before I get more filament to print with.  I have about half a spool left but that won't last long if I'm printing more :)
