Topic: New Member with Old Problems
Whats up fellow Solidoodlers! I've owned a Solidoodle 2 for just over two years, but I have only had it in my possession for the past 6 months. I've learned enough about printing to put out some prints but nothing too technical except for my google research.
What brought me here: Recently, the acrylic broke and was causing issues with the tensioner. I ordered a new acrylic, since I hadn't printed any parts, and they sent me the acrylic plus a hot end. So I started out to replace it which was rather easy but the tip sets at a different elevation requiring some z height adjustment. Then I became more curious and decided I need to level the build table which lead to calibrating the extruder feed rate. After some research I couldn't find the stepper adjustment in skeinforge and kept seeing the reference for Slic3r so I'm making the switch and hoping to increase my knowledge and eventually end up with better prints.
Current problem: When I slice with Slic3r the file doesn't automatically upload into G-Code Editor I have to load it manually from the File tab and kill slicing so the dialog box will disappear, this method has always been common practice until I saw a video and it uploaded automatically. How would I get the g-code to upload automatically?
If I can provide any other helpful info please let me know!
