Topic: E3D Thermistor Sleeving?

In the process of clearing out a clog & leak with my E3Dv6, I removed the thermistor and the ends of the fiberglass sleeving are frayed, so the legs of the thermistor are shorting now that I have put it back in.
Anyone know where I can get some of the blue fiberglass insulation for the thermistor legs/ what the specs of it are?

Thanks,
Ray

Right from the spare parts section!

Thanks Tim.  Saw that right after I posted (as usual).  Do you happen to know the inner diameter of that sleeving?

Never mind, .012 inch seems to be the going size of choice.

I was about to order this so I would have a bunch of it for the spare package of 100k thermistors I have laying around but then I noticed the max temp of 120 C.  Anyone want to test the safety factor on that for me? wink

I don't see any on amazon that is rated high enough for hot ends.  I would like to find a way to get a bunch of it (the right stuff, not the link above).  It just seems silly to me to order ~5 inches of something.  I get that it's not worth filastruder's time to sell you 15 cents worth of wire insulation, but thats about what it comes to when you can find it in bulk.

I'll sell you as much as you like at a reasonable price, just shoot me an email. It is set at $1.99 for a small quantity because I have to cover my time packaging up the order, this is not really unreasonable.
