Topic: Skeinforge Slicing Problem

Attempting to print a shaft coupling.

The shaft has a split down the middle, so I'm printing a hole with a full width keyway, if that makes sense. The keyway does not print solid, it has 2-3 layers, a gap, and 2-3 layers.

The perimeters are set to 5, and the outside perimeter of the object does indeed have 5 layers.

What am I doing wrong? There's gotta be a setting for this. I just want that vertical part to print solid!

Thanks!

Re: Skeinforge Slicing Problem

How thick is the keyway?  If you play with the infill settings (just for giggles, set it up at like .9 and reslice, but I would NOT suggest printing there!) does it fill up?  I think the "Infill width over thickness" setting might also alter how big of an interior gap the slicer decides to apply infill to as well.  Basically open Skeinforge to the fill page and hit the little "?" and read thru the help per setting, try a few changes out, see what gives you what you want.
