I wonder, since everything can be accessed through the Arduino IDE, if it would be possible to now directly send commands to add filament length to the cartridge directly from there.

An existing firmware will have to be adapted for the Da vinci. We did not reverse engineer the existing firmare, we are working on uploading a new one that will eliminate the need for the cart altogether.

All that is over my head to be honest. BUT, please be sure to update here when there's a firmware released that's good to go!

I will be sure to do so. There is no onboard eeprom to use with repietier, and that is the firmware currently being played with, but now it really should be quite trivial to use any other firmware with some tweaking.

I can't remember which firmware supports G2/G3 interpolation vs point to point, but that'd be the one I'd want.
