Topic: No more shaft pins/washers!
Starting today (March 25th) and onward, there are no more shaft pins/washers/etc. This was arguably the most complained about (and therefore worst) part of the Filastruder design. It worked well on my workbench, providing stall protection simply, but was not easily replicated by others.
Therefore, if your kit shipped today or later, it will be include a motor with a square drive:
This is the same speed and torque motor that has been used in the v1.2-1.4 kits, but with a square end. I'm sorry it took so long to upgrade - I had to get samples (40 day lead time), then evaluate them (I run everything myself for 200 hours before it gets incorporated into the main design) and then order them in bulk (40 day lead time). I started down this road back in November, and here we are. The motors in the store are also square drive - I will update the stock photo soon.
