Topic: Getting Repetier Mac to remember slic3r .ini's, stop moving gcode

Hello all- I have been having a heck of a time trying to get Repetier to remember its settings. My first print was terrible, due to the fact that the nozzle was at a default of 0.5, layer height was 0.4, and filament was set to 3mm. After changing all of this to 0.35, 0.2 and 1.75mm respectively, I saved the config file, sliced an stl and had a look at the results- which were the original crappy settings. Tried dropping said saved config file in ~library/slic3r/print/ to no avail. Can't find where to put this ini in Repetier so it will be default, much less have it show up as an option.

How can I make sure that when I place an stl on the platter, that the "generate g-code" or "slice with slic3r"  will be using my settings?

On another topic, why does Slic3r always shove my gcode off the bed? I center in repetier, generate (crappy not looking at my saved ini) g-code, which then shoves the print halfway off the bed. Tried extreme correctional translation with no luck- just ignored it.

Thanks all

This cleared up as soon as I updated to Slic3r 0.95- was using 0.83 and couldn't save the parameters in a way that would show up in Repetier. Thank you Ian, gathered this from watching /reading your posts at
