Topic: Thermoelectric cooling for the hotend steppers and electronics
Has anyone here tried to use a peltier element to cool the printer hotend steppers and electronics? I would like my printer to make less noise.

I wouldn't bother. A peltier element is only necessary if you want below-ambient temperatures. You still need a heat sink and fan on it. It doesn't make cold, it just moves heat from one side to the other. You'd need a bigger and even noisier fan.
Also you can't even hear the fans over the stepper motors when they are running.
I guess I have different fans then.. Maybe I should try to find a replacement for them. Thanks for the reply.
No problem. The fan that the solidoodle has kinda stinks anyway. I've replaced mine (and added one to the X axis stepper motor)
Any 40mm fan should fit.
