SoliForum - 3D Printing Community → Filastruder → horizontal or vertical
Just about done assembling my Filastruder. I have Filawinder on order. I intend on extruding ABS, mostly Sabic MG94 I ordered from OSP.
Given this info, what Filastruder orientation works best with the Filawinder: horizontal or vertical?

In my opinion, vertical - though Ian's the expert.
Vertical works better. You can do horizontal but the filament tends to twist around and be more difficult to manage. When horizontal it's also easier to get kinks set into it while guiding it to the winder. I recommend the hopper on thingiverse that screws together rather than mine because you don't have to take the nozzle off to change it.

But seriously guys, your customer service is ridiculously awesome. I mean that.
Vertical all day, had mine setup horizontal for the purge and got annoyed with it. Within 30seconds on vertical i started getting perfect filament. I will never go back.
