Topic: Z wobble firmware fix not working.

I've been trying the firmware fix but it isn't working. What does this mean?

22:57:19.322 : ZWobble Amp (A) 0.00 phase (P) 0.00 period (W) 1.41 puls 4.45 Warning! Inconsistent parameters!

Re: Z wobble firmware fix not working.

Hello, guys. I can't understand what should I do to make software Z wobble compensation. I've already done mechanical try to fix (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:101308), but it is not enough. I am searching themes here, but can't get clear what exactly I should do....
Could you please give me direct link to the best topic about firmware / software z wobble compensation for soliddodle 2 with standart hardware from shop?

Yes, thanks. But M97 commands didn't make any changes, tried different values.. don't know. And if we talk about marlin, then I tried before, but impossible to load something to board such way...

Ah but you need the "community" firmware, the stock solidoodle firmware doesn't have the capability. What motherboard do you have? Sanguinololu or Printrboard?

Ok then you have a Printrboard. If you look in the back of your printer, if you have a circuit board that is mostly flat with surface mounted components, then it's a Printrboard, if it has a big chip in the middle in DIP format, then it's a sanguinololu. But I think they stopped shipping Sanguinololus earlier in the year.

You will need to upgrade the firmware to the latest "community" version, which you can find linked in this thread: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/4236/bet … ll-boards/

There are also some configuration changes that you will need to do. However, I suggest you to wait for some time, as I know that Adrian is working on a tool that would simplify the upgrade, especially for those who have the Printrboard.

I don't know, might be tomorrow, might be never smile No seriously, he told me he's thinking about it but I don't know how far he got into the development. I'd wait a week and then if nothing happens, try the manual way: http://wiki.solidoodle.com/update-firmware

Thanks man for your help, because its really hard to get into all this..
But could you tell me, what really does this update? Perhaps there are some tutorials with more details? What I can do after these updates?

In the first post of this thread Adrian listed the features of this firmware: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/4236/bet … ll-boards/

You can enable hysteresis and ZWobble patches, enable support for a LCD screen, enable the auto bed leveling feature.

I think it's worth it smile

Then it's really amazing, because I tried to understand about LCD and didn't got the idea how to do this. If
I solved Z wobble problem and added lcd with sd, then I wouldnt' need anything more for my sd2... ) ok, also need to add cooler. )
what lcd board with sd should I buy to use all this modification?

P.S. I will read all this later.... so much info. )
