Topic: Solidoodle 3 + AzteegX3 kit + netbook + lot of filament + more(update)

I have access to too many printers, too many hobbies, and not enough time for this printer now... I would like to sell the entire package together.  It has been very lightly used (about 15-20 hours of usage) and I haven't seen any problems with it this far.

I have included the following...

Solidoodle 3 3d printer
3 9" x 9" glass plates for replaceable platforms
Thumbscrews for bed levelling are installed
2 12 volt cpu fans for board and or extruder cooling
two spare hot ends (one in like new condition, 2nd one has a softened peek barrel)
one roll of 2" kapton tape
extra z motor
Azteeg X3 upgrade kit with 5 motor drivers and extra thermistors
Acer Mini Netbook with Windows XP
Microsoft HDLifeCam webcam
clear, ruby red, and blue translucent filament and two rolls of black filament
clear acrylic cut to size for the front, top, and sides, with magnets for attachments
Variety pack of tools including long tweezers, cleaning brush, spatula, and more...

Should be everything you need to get printing and then some.

I would be willing to cut down the price if the netbook and webcam aren't needed.  Make a reasonable offer for either package and I will listen. I have the original shipping box and foam padding, and will be meticulous in packaging everything very safely and would be happy to insure the shipping if requested.

Now on eBay also...

I would give you $500 for it. I don't need the computer or the web cam.

But you can probably do a whole lot better if this is any indication.

Re: Solidoodle 3 + AzteegX3 kit + netbook + lot of filament + more(update)

Keep in mind that the Azteeg X3 +5 drivers is about $160, the colored transparent filament is good stuff from 3Dprinter gear and would be about $120 for those 3 rolls,  + the black ones so that is an extra $300 retail in the extras.

Also Jooshs is the one who discovered the Presto Vapor Finishing Station, mistakenly sold in many stores as a steam cooker.  He deserves a little something extra for that contribution to the field.

Re: Solidoodle 3 + AzteegX3 kit + netbook + lot of filament + more(update)

Hey Ian, good to hear from you. I wish I had more time to spend around these parts, but to no avail. Believe it or not we still use a modded Solidoodle at work for super rapid parts and a super sized presto cooker for finishing prototypes. In fact we just sent quite a few parts off to a big conference with presto cook finishes and they were absolutely wowing people.

FooFooDog, thanks for the offer. I'll keep it in mind if I have trouble unloading this guy. I'm sort of shocked to see the printer go for that price on EBay. I figured I am offering a pretty good deal, but that seems crazy. I guess maybe the copy of solidworks was part of the appeal. Hopefully the other person will be able to activate it after purchase and the rigorous background check they run when activating a student version.

That guy's post does remind me, and I'll update the original post, I also have long tweezers, Solidoodle brush, scrapers, and a variety of other tools dedicated to that printer.

Re: Solidoodle 3 + AzteegX3 kit + netbook + lot of filament + more(update)

Hello, I'm a teacher at a Jr High in Arizona.  We are just beginning to work with the SD3 we recently purchased.  After only a couple of weeks I can see that 30 students, 6 periods, and 1 printer is not going to go well.  The district will not purchase more printers until I can show them that the students respond well with the first unit.  So I am now looking to purchase one myself to use in the lab.  I am not familiar with all the items you have listed.  Do you have a suggested price range for the printer?  Obviously I don't really need the netbook but the webcam could be interesting to use with the class.  Thank you.
