Topic: pcb heatbed mk2

Quelqu'un a t'il déja monté ça sur une solidoodle 2(ou 3)
J'en ai mis un dans ma commande chez motiontech, sans savoir comment je le monterais bien sur(j'aime bien improviser des fois).

You will need an upgraded PSU if you haven't already, but besides that, will work just fine with your RAMPS board.

Upgraded PSU ???

I still haven't change the board(too much print to do for customers, I must wait a little more), so  is it going to work with the SD board ?

Yes, but you need to make modifications to the board for it to work - the PCB MkII draws too much current, which is why you also need an upgraded Power Supply as the standard one cannot supply the required current and will fail. The changes needed to the Sanguinololu to support the PCB MkIIb are as documented at http://www.soliforum.com/topic/1819/hea … isonsstls/

I thought for some reason you had purchased a RAMPS board lately - but I realise now I was mistaken - sorry about that ! A RAMPS board or Azteeg X3 are capable of running the PCB without modifications, but you will still require an upgraded PSU.

Thanks for the informations.
Yes you tought right, I already have a RAMPS and all the needed parts are printed as I follow your how to, I just haven't mount it yet on the SD 2 .

For the PSU how much power must it have(1A, 5A, 10A or much more) ??

I would recommend a minimum of 22Amp.. The PCB MkIIb Heat bed will need about 12Amp and the Motors need about 4.5Amp. The Hot End (standard) uses 2.5amp and the control board itself + fans + leds chew about around 1.5amp (give or take a few hundred milliamp). Many users have gone with Dell Server Power Supplies (500W+) as they are cheap and fairly available from eBay offering up to 40amps for only a few dollars...

If you prefer a more 'complete' power supply option that looks standard - then have a look for a suitable MeanWell power supply through ebay or the like.

Perfect, I'm going to to take a look at my electronic shop I think that they have that sort of power supply(I can have a good price the owner is a friend wink )

Thanks for all the information.... wink

JE connais bien ce lit
Chez e motion ils l utilisent pour toutes leur machines... il n a aucun probleme particulier sinon qu il faut l utiliser avec une plaque en verre obligatoirement.

You can use without glass - you simply install with the PCB traces face down and then use Kapton tape on the backside of the PCB.. but using glass or a ceramic tile is much better! smile
