Topic: Print help.
I'm looking for some expert help to improve my prints.
Stats:
SD2 with a window fan blowing on the back (Until I get a cover/fan holder printed.)
Marlin FW
Repetier/Slic3r Settings from Ian's blog.
Printing at .3 on 2mm Glass with hairspray. The factory bed is a bit domed, so I don't know if my glass is too thin, and is warping with the bed.
Bed 95* Extruder 180*
ABS from Ebay. Not sure mfg. It's on a white plastic spool and came from a guy in PA, if that helps.
.STL export from Vectorworks.
Just measured my hysterisis for X&Y. Still need to change firmware.
Questions about the print:
What causes the banding in the body? It looks like the layers weren't hot enough to stick down to the layer below.
Why is it a perfect pattern? he spaces are about 1.5mm consistently through the height of the piece.
What makes the corners wavy?
I noticed the first layer is smooshed on the glass. I had to change out the Z limit screw and the 3mm I picked up from the hardware store isn't as nice as the OEM one. There's some wobble in the screw holder I need to take care of first. I"m hoping a 3mm nut on top/bottom of the SD bracket works.
I'm a complete 3D printing newb, so any help is appreciated.
Thanks
