Topic: ABS fumes

I have a family member that has COPD. Are the fumes bad enough that they would bother them.

abs fume is not good for anybody...

i use a box around the printer with fan to take fume out to a nearby windows. i try to make abs fume  extractor that you find on thingiverse but the result. was not what i expected..

always use abs printer in a well ventilated area

my wife has asthma and the fumes bother her.  I moved the printer to my upstairs workspace and it's helped a lot (it no more complaining).

Sometimes if I'm staring at the printer while it's doing a tricky area I can end up with a stomach ache, I too have a small fan drawing air away from me when I print.  I don't think if she's not in the same 5 foot area that she would be bothered by it, but I would think you should contact her doctor.

Different people have different sensitivity levels to ABS fumes.
