Topic: SD3 X axis limit switch

Just received my SD3 today, one quirk I noticed is the nozzle goes beyond the edge of the bed like the  limit switch is not mounted close enough to prevent that but so far it is printing ok. Print stuck on 1st try. Anybody else with a SD3 notice that?

SD3, E3D hotend, linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Both printers do that.  It's handy, because if you are extruding to change colors or just get the plastic flowing you can just let it run into the bottom of the printer rather than piling on the bed.  The extra space is taken into account so the center of the print should still be the center of the bed.

I am doing my second print and even tho RH shows the object in the center of the bed it's printing  in the upper right quadrant, but still on the bed enough to be ok

In repertier host do you have the solidoodle 3 profile selected? Also you can move the printer by selecting the manual tab in repertier host and move the x and y axis towards the end stops. The endstops also let the software know where the extruder is.

I have had the extruded bump into the y axis bracket bolts quite hard and was lucky nothing broke.

You need to first click "Home" when you open Repetier-Host... make sure you do that before anything else...
