Topic: RH with Skeinforge

I have been using skeinforge to do all of my slicing for my SD3.  I like that skein allows me to control the raft (size, infill, feedrate, flowrate, and height), interface layer (removable raft), and the support settings.  I never have warping in my raft parts with ABS (only thing I use to print).  The settings in Slic3r seem to be lacking a few of these items.

When I slice with Skein I have to go back into the code and remove the first 4-5 lines and paste in my own "start" file.  Does anyone know how to make skein or RH read start files so that it will delete a few lines then add this start file to the gcode?

I can keep cutting and pasting, but thought it would be really nice if RH or Skeinforge did that for me.  Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks!

hmmmm
RH has all those settings under the 'configure' tab

not sure why you need to delete the first few lines, I've never needed to do that ,Sice>Print

you can use a start and end  g-code in both RH and Skein though ... no need to cut n paste your own every print. define the start and end code in both RH + Skein and they will load it automatically

why do you need to remove the first few lines?

Re: RH with Skeinforge

If I do not cut and paste with a few select lines of code, my SD3 will just begin moving, retract the filament too far, does not home everything and will not wait for anything to heat up.

I know there are start and end files that can be called up, but I am not sure how to replace/add to them or if they can delete some of the gcode.

Re: RH with Skeinforge

I have the same problem.  I've been cutting and pasting the start code from a file generated from slic3r, but in addition to your problem my extruder is putting out WAY to much plastic.  I mean like 50x as much as it should I've check that all of my settings match up with the default solidoodle config so now I'm stumped.
