Topic: Random print stops in Repetier host 0.85b possible cause

I have been having the same problems some others have seen. My SD2 will randomly stop mid print, and when it does so Repetier host becomes unresponsive (for me its usually an hourglass icon and a blank screen while it tries to draw the interface). Some threads mention things like bad USB cables, power fluxuations, ram usage, overheating stepper drivers or motors, gods wrath, that gremlin thing from twilight zone that was giving Shatner the business, etc.

but using process explorer from sysinternals I opened a list of the threads that Repetier host was using at the time of its "crash". And I found that it had not really crashed, instead the thread for mscoree.dll was suspended. Using the process explorer I was able to tell it to resume. and after doing so my printer kicked back on and picked up as if nothing had happened. (I'm attaching a screenshot taken a few seconds after I resumed my print). I've been able to resume my prints like this 2 or 3 times now.

Sadly I don't know jack about programming so I cant dive in to see how mscoree.dll is being handled or why its being suspended randomly. But I'm putting this out there for anyone who knows more than I do so they might be able to look into this problem.

also just to note I'm on win2k3 x64
